I’m delighted to be one of twelve creative practitioners involved in Living Memory, a project looking at photographs and life stories from across the Black Country. I have been awarded a research and development award to participate in the programme, funded through Arts Council England.
I’ll be working with the Community and History Archive Service in Smethwick, Sandwell, over the next nine months to research Ford Street (formerly Halford Street) through a series of layered texts. The road’s stories past and present will be considered via family archives and oral histories.
